Allow time for travel
Set each cleaning's duration and a business-wide buffer after appointments. The same buffer applies to every service. Check addresses before accepting back-to-back jobs because Separalo does not calculate routes or distances.
The example leaves 30 minutes after a two-hour job. The next visit must fit the cleaner's hours and breaks. If the drive needs longer, block the extra time in the calendar before offering the next visit. Check the actual drive before choosing that buffer.

Assign the cleaner and add each visit
- Add each cleaner with their services, hours and breaks. The plan includes the owner and up to three additional team members per business.
- Enter jobs you arrange by phone or message in the dashboard and choose the assigned cleaner. Each appointment reserves one person. Coordinate cleaners who need to work together separately.
- Confirm the address and arrival instructions before the first visit. The public form asks for name and contact details, not an address or notes. You can save instructions in internal contact notes.
- For a weekly or biweekly client, create repeating appointments from the dashboard. Clients book one date at a time through the public page.
Online bookings require email verification. Your settings determine whether verification confirms the appointment or leaves it awaiting your approval. With reminders enabled, eligible confirmed appointments receive an email around the day before. Do not rely on that notice for jobs booked shortly before their start.
What you need outside Separalo
In Colombia, Separalo does not process client payments or deposits. US businesses can optionally take deposits or prepayments through Stripe, with a platform fee on those payments. In Colombia, arrange payment separately. Quotes, invoices, a POS, checklists and payroll are not included. There is no Google Calendar or Outlook sync. Automatic notices go by email, with no SMS or WhatsApp.
How Separalo compares with ZenMaid and Jobber
ZenMaid and Jobber include invoicing and online payments, which Separalo does not offer. Consider them if you need recurring visits, card payments or text reminders handled in the software. Check which plan includes the tools you need.
ZenMaid is software for maid services. Starter costs $19 a month for one person or $23 for four, month to month, with up to 40 appointments a month and SMS charged extra. It includes dispatch, map views and a limited set of automated text and email templates. Pro adds website booking forms, checklists, cleaner GPS tracking, payroll and a tool for scheduling recurring customers.
Jobber serves cleaning businesses and other trades. Core costs $49 a month for one user with no commitment, or $29 a month billed yearly in advance, before promotions. Core includes online booking, quotes, invoices and online payments. Jobber also supports recurring cleans. Automated client reminders and checklists start on the Connect plan.
Separalo costs $7.99 a month for the owner and up to three more people. It covers the booking page, team schedules and email notices. Prices are in USD. Competitor rates were checked on October 24, 2026.
