Start with a deposit, 24-hour notice or no-show template below. Replace every bracketed field. In Colombia, arrange payments separately with your client. US businesses can enable Stripe payments in Separalo, with a platform fee on those payments.
Your cancellation policy
If your business is in the United States and you turn on payments through Stripe, you can charge a no-show fee through Separalo to the card the client saves at booking. You collect any other fee yourself.
How to use your policy
1. Pick the notice period
Choose enough notice to offer the time to another client. For example, a 24-hour notice period gives you a day to offer the slot again.
2. Decide on the fee
A fee only works if you can collect it. If you don't take a deposit or keep a card on file, a no-fee rule you apply every time may be easier to enforce.
3. Publish it where clients book
Paste it into your booking page, your appointment confirmations and your profile. Ask clients to accept it before they book.
Cancellation policy questions
Can I charge the fee through Separalo?
Only the no-show fee, and only if your business is in the United States and you turn on payments through Stripe. You charge it to the card the client saved at booking; Separalo does not charge it on its own. You collect any other fee yourself, for example at the next appointment or with the payment method you already use.
How does the cancellation notice work in Separalo?
You set the notice hours in your service settings. Clients cancel, or reschedule if you allow it, from the link in their confirmation until the notice period starts. After that, online cancellation closes and the client has to contact you.
Is this a legal document?
It's a plain-language starting point, not legal advice. Rules on fees vary by country and type of service, so review it before you publish it.
What counts as a no-show?
A client who misses the appointment without telling you. Many businesses wait a few minutes before counting it. If you do, add that to the policy.
